- Returned Foyt name to the Indianapolis 500 driver’s starting line-up for the first time since 1992. Started 23rd and finished 18th.

- Captured inaugural IRL Menards Infiniti Pro Series championship.
- Earned four victories and four pole positions in seven races.
- Led series in races led (five) and laps led (212).
2001
- Won the southwest regional championship in the SCCA Formula Continental series. Claimed six victories in nine starts. Earned Rookie of the Year honors and finished third in the national standings despite missing three events.
- Finished second in the Briggs heavy class at the World Karting Association Dirt Series World Championship in Daytona Beach, Fla.
- Made USAC Silver Crown Series debut in August at Springfield, Ill. Started 19th and finished 28th in Hoosier Hundred at Indiana State Fairgrounds.
2000
- Won the four-cycle stock light kart class event at the Holiday Classic in Phoenix and the stock medium class event at the O’Reilly Tulsa Shootout.
- Claimed championships in Junior II Briggs restricted and unrestricted classes in World Karting Association competition. Earned a total of nine pole positions and six wins.
1999
- Won Texas and Louisiana state championship events in four-cycle Junior II light, heavy and unrestricted class karting competition.
- Claimed the four-cycle Junior II light and heavy class titles at the International Kart Federation Nationals.

- Began competing in karts.
